The Alaskan Scottish Club
is a non-profit organization established to promote the Scottish culture, heritage and teachings to the people of Alaska. We achieve this through events, workshops, concerts and other social gatherings in Alaska throughout the calendar year.
The Alaskan Scottish Club also works with and supports other organizations that are promoting the Scottish and Celtic culture, by actively providing support and assisting where possible to ensure that the event is a success.
The largest annual event held is the Alaskan Scottish Highland Games and Gathering of the Clans, the Highland Games is a celebration of the Scottish culture that includes music, dance, pipe bands, historical reenactments, food, crafts and the essential Highland Games Athletic Events.
Other club events include:
Burns Night (Celebration of Scotland's favorite poet)
Annual Membership Meeting (Held every February)
Celtic Spring Festival (In association with the Celtic Community of Alaska)
Kirkin of the Tartans (In association with All Saints Episcopal Church)
Highland Games (Held the 4th Sat. in June, at Lions Park, Eagle River)
St. Andrews Nights (Celebration of Scotland's Patrons Saint)
